The 'grandmother' slices are cut into large blocks of 17Kg Marseille soap from cauldron saponification.
These slices are recognized as "anti-cramp" soap (thanks to their potash concentration) by placing it under the mattress cover or in a cloth under the duvet. The grandmother's slice is also recognized as an excellent moth repellent by hanging it in the closet. Composed of vegetable oils (70% olive oil, 30% copra oil). Real Marseille soap requires  the logo filed by the Union of Marseille Soap Professionals (UPSM)
